Even the rainy days… yes, we had another rainy day today – it started around 10am, just as we were heading out for our walk. Luckily the dogs all did their business on their little walk first thing in the morning – better than waiting till rain! It always comes down to that though doesn’t it. Especially in our house it seems. With all the creatures we’ve had – at one time we had 11 horses, 11 parrots, and 4 dogs we are all too familiar with the importance of business!
Back to the rainy day – what a great day for curling up with a book although unfortunately my last library download is not the greatest read. It is still nice to curl up on the bed with dogs stretched against my legs, the pitter patter of rain on the roof and a fluffy blanket. It turns a potentially miserable rainy day from a bust to a nice little treat. Oh yeah – I made biscuits for lunch to have with a cup of tea – perfect rainy day lunch.
Carm spent the day watching the business news – anxiously watching the markets. What a terrible last few days it has been but let’s keep our fingers crossed for a happier outcome in the weeks to come.
We are hoping the rain washes Grace’s cage somewhat as it has become a giant fly magnet – we’ve spent hours with the fly swatter but don’t seem to make a dent.
Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for
something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savoured.

Who is Grace? And why is she in a cage?
ReplyDeleteGrace is our parrot (African Grey congo) and she is in a cage for her protection and the protection of everything around her! She's a buzz-saw on legs/wings!
