The campsites have these funky campfire/cooking contraptions, as well as free firewood so I decided that we’d cook our steaks over an open fire tonight.
Carm had purchased these huge Alberta beef rib steaks at the Costco in Medicine Hat. We don’t normally eat meat, and even less often beef, but since we are in the land of the grass fed cow…
We let the fire burn for a bit to get a good bed of coals and then threw on the giant slabs of meat. Oh… heaven. They were juicy and tender and ever so good. I like being a carnivore every now and again – especially if it is steak!
Yum :-) (p.s. we didn’t eat the whole thing!).
