double quadruple jabbed

Today is better! Am I too good? Not sure but I certainly feel much perkier than yesterday - it’s been 18 years of sedation so I have nothing in memory to compare to. With Carm’s help we’ll monitor closely for a rebound.

We were up a bit early this morning to get ourselves to the pharmacy in time for our fifth vaccine - this time the pfizer bivalent… hopefully it will give us some protection during our cruise. It seems crazy to immerse ourselves into a cesspool of viruses but honestly, we have to start living our lives at some point!

The pharmacist was skilled, jabbing us so fast we weren’t even sure we got it (except I did see with my own eyes the needle deep in Carm’s arm. I didn’t know that the owner of a pharmacy has to be a pharmacist.

I always thought that this phrase from a Gorden Lightfoot song was great:

the pavement is a shoulder for her tears

This afternoon we got together (virtually), with Shawn & Kirsten to discuss and book(!) our excursions. We’ll be havin’ some fun! We are even going to do a little snorkel!!!! Excited for that :-)

Another day is done… we ended it on a lovely note with supper at Trudie & Leo’s. The dogs have had a chance to settle down so we are snuggled on the sofa to watch a late version of the news.

Awesome!
