Eat, Drink and Be Merry

Yesterday afternoon we sadly said goodbye to friends who had been visiting since Saturday morning. We had a great visit with far too much food and way too much booze (just in case you are wondering though there was no drunkenness or hangovers). But we did do every section of the liquor and beer stores justice. Just yesterday we started with bubbles for brunch, then margs, then cider, then beer, then more bubbles, then red wine, then to cap the evening off Bacardi Orange Cooler floats. The Bacardi stuff tastes exactly like the creamsicles of my childhood. I had the brainstorm of pouring it over ice cream for an adult only take on a childhood treat – it was an excellent idea!

We went on a couple of long walks (to burn off a bit of the eating), some swimming, lots and lots of talking and laughing.

Circumstance does not make the man; it reveals him to himself.
